The sample tile arrived quickly and the color is exactly what I was hoping for from the Field Trip Japan line. I'm glad I ordered this first to see the actual glaze finish before buying more.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much depth the glaze has in natural light—it’s far more nuanced than the online photos suggested. The sample size is just right for holding up against my existing kitchen backsplash.

Finally got to see this Field Trip Japan sample in person, and the toast-and-flat combo has such a warm, matte contrast that photos don’t do justice. It’s small but perfect for holding up against countertops and walls to check lighting. I’m already planning my full order around this exact look.
