Aubergine 2x8, Sample

Holding this little 2x8 sample up to different walls really sold me on the deep purple tone—it shifts from almost black to a rich plum depending on the light. You can feel the handcrafted texture on the surface, which makes me even more excited to see it installed in a full run.

The deep aubergine shade is even richer in person than I expected from photos online. You can really feel the handcrafted quality in the slight texture of the cement surface. It’s perfect for testing how this bold color will look with my kitchen backsplash.

I was hesitant about how a deep purple would look on my kitchen floor, but this sample settled it instantly. The handcrafted texture is beautifully uneven in the best way, and the color shifts from dark plum to almost black depending on the light. It’s exactly the moody accent I was hoping for.
