Hexagone Noir Carbone, Échantillon

The hexagonal shape gives it a more modern feel than the standard square Zellige, and the carbon black color is deep with just enough variation to look handmade. I ordered this sample to check the finish in my kitchen lighting, and it held up exactly as I hoped.

The hex shape is what sold me—it feels more modern than the usual square tiles, and the carbon black finish has a subtle depth that shifts in different light. The sample size is perfect for holding against my kitchen backsplash to test the vibe before I order the full batch.

I was a little nervous about how carbon black would look in my kitchen, but this sample's matte finish and subtle handcrafted texture completely won me over. The hexagonal shape makes it feel more modern than the classic squares I was considering.
