ミニチェック、カラーラ＋ネロ・マルキーナ

I was worried the small check pattern might look too busy, but installed in our kitchen backsplash it reads as classic and clean. The unglazed marble has a subtle, matte finish that catches the light just right without being shiny. Already getting compliments from everyone who visits.

The marble feels cool and smooth to the touch, exactly what I wanted for a subtle geometric accent. I used it as a backsplash border and the contrast between the white Carrara and black Nero Marquina is striking without being overwhelming.

The tiny check pattern really pops once it's grouted—the contrast between the white Carrara and the deep black is striking in person. I love that the unglazed marble surface has a natural, matte finish that doesn't feel slippery underfoot, which is exactly what I wanted for a detailed mosaic accent.
