Aizome 1x1, Sample

The tiny 1-inch squares have a beautiful, subtle variation in glaze depth that makes the sample feel much more substantial than its size suggests. It’s the perfect way to test how the handcrafted look works with my other finishes before committing to a full order.

The hand-painted glazes on these little tiles have so much depth up close—each one catches the light differently. I was worried they'd look flat, but the artisanal texture really makes them feel special. Already planning a bigger order for my backsplash.

The tiny 1-inch squares are surprisingly crisp and uniform for being handcrafted, and the glaze has a subtle depth that photos don’t capture. I ordered the sample just to test the color, but now I’m rethinking my whole backsplash layout.
