Mini Check in Carrara + Rosso Alicante

I laid a few pieces side by side and the handmade variation in the marble gives it such a rich, old-world feel. The red veins in the Rosso Alicante really pop against the Carrara white. It’s exactly the timeless look I wanted for my backsplash.

The white marble is so crisp against the red that it almost looks like tiny gemstones set in the floor. Each tile feels substantial and smooth to the touch, not brittle like I expected with a mosaic. Perfect size for a kitchen backsplash accent.

I was a little worried the small check pattern might feel busy, but installed in a backsplash it’s subtle and elegant. The unglazed marble has a lovely matte finish that catches the light just right.
