Badlands 24x24

I was a little worried about installing such a heavy natural stone, but the consistent 24x24 sizing made the layout surprisingly straightforward. The surface has that real volcanic texture you can feel, which gives my patio an ancient, earthy feel.

The texture on this volcanic stone is unreal — you can actually feel the tiny pits and grain from the quarry, nothing like the smooth porcelain I looked at. Set it as a fireplace surround and the charcoal and rust tones shift depending on the light. Heavy as sin, so bring a friend to move it.

I was worried the 24x24 size would feel too big for our backsplash, but the texture is what sold me — it's porous and matte in a way that looks genuinely quarried, not printed. Two boxes covered the whole wall with barely any waste.
