Cotton 4x4

The tonal variations in this 4x4 cement tile are exactly what I wanted for our backsplash — each piece catches the light a bit differently, which gives the whole wall a soft, expensive feel. The matte silky surface is easy to wipe down, too, even though it looks delicate.

I was a little worried about how the matte silky finish would look in person, but each tile has this subtle tonal variation that makes it feel really organic and high-end. They add just the right amount of texture to my kitchen backsplash without being too busy.

The subtle tonal variation across these 4x4s gives my backsplash a handmade feel that plain tiles just can't match. They're surprisingly smooth to the touch for cement, and the matte finish hides fingerprints well.
