Loch 1x1

I installed these in my kitchen backsplash, and the 1x1 size made laying out a simple geometric pattern really straightforward. The handcrafted feel gives the surface a lot more character than standard subway tile would.

The subtle variation in glaze from tile to tile gives these a handcrafted feel that machine-made squares just can't match. They're smaller than I expected, but that makes them perfect for a detailed backsplash pattern I'm planning.

I was worried the 1x1 format might look too busy, but the handcrafted finish gives each tiny tile its own quiet personality. They read as classic from a distance and feel wonderfully textured up close, which is exactly what I wanted for the backsplash.
