Rubric 2, Sample

I was curious how the color would look in my kitchen light, and the handmade variations in this sample tile are exactly what I hoped for. The surface texture feels authentic and the depth of the glaze is really satisfying.

The glaze has that subtle, uneven sheen I was hoping for, and the color is deeper in person than on screen. Perfect for deciding if the handmade look works in our kitchen.

I was really impressed by how much the handmade character shows in this one sample piece—you can see the slight variations in the glaze that make Zellige so special. It’s the perfect size to hold up against different light and see if the color works for our backsplash.
