Tesserae 芝麻 + 毛茛 + 金絲雀

The light really dances off these tiles—the sesame tone adds a warmth that shifts throughout the day. I used them as a kitchen backsplash and the buttercup and canary flecks catch your eye without being overwhelming. They cut cleanly for a DIY project, which was a pleasant surprise.

The varied shapes of the buttercup and canary pieces catch the light from different angles, making the whole wall feel alive. I was a bit worried the colors would be too bold, but they blend beautifully with my white subway tile.

The way the sesame and buttercup chips catch light next to the darker canary pieces is honestly stunning—each tile has its own little sparkle. I was worried the warm yellows would wash out on my kitchen backsplash, but the mix has so much depth that it changes character from morning to evening.
