Aizome 2x8, Sample

The hand-painted glaze has so much more variation in person than I expected from a sample. It's the perfect size to see how the color plays with different lighting in my kitchen.

I was surprised by how much depth the glaze has in person—photos don't capture the subtle color variations. The handcrafted feel is obvious when you hold it, and the 2x8 size is perfect for evaluating the finish.

The glaze on this sample has such a deep, rich blue—it shifts in the light, exactly what I was hoping for. The handcrafted feel is obvious even in this small piece. I'm ordering the full batch now.
