Barley 4x4, Sample

I was surprised by how substantial the ceramic texture feels in hand — much more dimensional than the photos suggest. The 4x4 scale is perfect for getting a real sense of how it will look on the wall.

The hand-painted glaze has just enough variation to show it’s truly handmade, and holding it in person makes the scale feel more substantial than photos suggest. I ordered this just to check texture before a full project and now I’m planning the whole backsplash around it.

The glazed finish has a nice subtle sheen that photos don't capture, and the texture feels authentic to handcrafted tile. I just wish the sample was a bit larger to really gauge the color variation.
