Sequoia 2x4, Sample

The color variation on this sample tile is more nuanced than I expected from the photos—it’s got a nice organic feel. The glazed surface is smooth but not glossy, which is exactly what I wanted for a backsplash.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much the color shifts in different lighting—it looks almost warm brown in my kitchen but cooler gray near the window. The size is exactly what I needed to test against my grout samples before committing.

The surface has a subtle, natural texture that feels more like stone than I expected, and the 2x4 size is perfect for seeing how it would lay out. Really happy I grabbed a sample before deciding on a full order.
